[1.0a] Upcoming patch notes (17/06/22)
Game being redone from scratch. These notes are not definitive and reflects the biggest changes from the current published version and not everything.

The following notes are stuff that is finished. A lot more is still under development.

Release date for this patch to be announced yet.

Art
- New art style for everything
- New characters models and animations
- New prop and weapon models
- New sounds
- New particles and effects
- Customizable hair color, eye color, pupil style, and skin color
- New shaders for voxel, water and skybox
- All trees are replaced with a 3D, non-voxel version
- 11 hairstyles, 5 eye types, 5 eyebrow types, 3 beards (more are on the work)

Combat
- Custom dual wielding has been removed
- "Combo" system added, allowing different attacks
- Charged attack and blocking added
- Weapons can have now different visual properties such animations, sounds or effects
- Soft reaction system, hitting an enemy or a player will play now an additional animation and additional effects

Interface
- Inventory system is now modular and might be expanded. It is also multiplayer synced
- Crafting window has been simplified and now you can select the recipe you want and how many do you want to craft
- Added a scrapping window allowing you to scrap items to get materials by breaking them down
- New hero panel
- Added a compass on screen to help find your way
- Better hotkey bar

Gameplay
- New fatigue system. Your character might become really vulnerable if you keep doing heavy movements or fighting
- Energy (not stamina) removed
- New movement system with physics. It should feel smoother than before
- Consumables may grant now special effects and boosters or diseases
- Recipe investigation by ingredient mixing has been removed
- New simplified crafting system. Ingredient mixing is no longer needed, instead you will know a few recipes from the beggining and you may learn more by exploring, as a reward for multiple tasks or just trading
- Characters have now the following equipment slots: head, torso, gloves, pants, boots, left small holster, right small holster, back holster
- Added swimming and diving. Although water wont propagate yet, you can explore underwater and travel across seas
- Gathering has been improved. You can use now specialized tools such as axes for wood or pickaxes for stone, and use your bare hands to grab fibers and flowers directly
- Crafting based on tier progression and workbenches

Multiplayer
- New multiplayer system implemented
- Steam integration with the multiplayer system. Join or invite your friends directly through Steam
- World based multiplayer. Join a friend's world, keep all of your character progress and items

World
- New world system, allowing for huge worlds to be generated (actually, infinite)
- Biome system allowing to spawn specific resources and challenges on each biome
- Added seas and underwater exploration
- Caves removed (at least for now)
- Corruption / radiation. Getting out of the borders of the map will allow you to continue exploring a devastated, dark world but you will need special equipment
- New voxel terrain with a "not so blocky look"
- Better day / night cycle
- Global weather system with transitions
- Far detail terrain (long render distance)
- New "world lore" and enemy style

In order to publish this patch, the game should reach a similar state of what's published already. It will be considered at the same state when the following features are remade and implemented:

To be finished
- Ranged weapons
- Basic content

Some of them might not include all of the features that are currently present in order to make a better foundation to add them later.

Hi!

Yes, I'm still working on this on my free time. There are still a couple core features to be finished and a lot of content to be added (mostly art-related work)

Nah, not yet, but making a game from scratch usually takes years.

Speaking of that, in a month will make 2 years that the development of the game restarted from 0, and still there is so much work to do.

The first version (the one which is currently published) took almost 3 years, and we were 2 devs full time (not so experienced though). Now it's only me, spending my free time. I wish I could be on full time again.
