Report a translation problem
If I understand this correctly, it should be possible to add a .reg file to the game directory containing the necessary registry keys via Steam update. All the user would have to do then is doubleclick this .reg file to add the keys to their registry and afterwards run the game directly from the folder. It would be impossible to run the game directly from Steam, but at least it would run.
If the registry entries contain references to the game folder, the .reg file could be generated on the fly using a windows batch script and the %~dp0 (folder containing the batch file) variable. Take a look at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Windows_Batch_Scripting for details.
No basiclly I'm not saying that.
GG guys, NEVER buy old games on steam they support bugger all and dont give a rats ass they just wanna piece of the pie. Just not have to make the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing.
