No Game Music

With the community fix the game can easily be run, and it has sound during the clips from your person at the start of the turn and so forth, but the game itself is completely silent, no sound effects or BGM whatsoever. This was true back when I last tried to play the game from the disk, so I assume it's some sort of Windows compatibility issue from a few years back, but I was wondering if anyone had worked out a fix for it. The game is probably still worth $6 to me without the music, but its absence does...
