The grab spell...
Is fantastic, but it occasionally misleads me. I'll often have a problem where I'm pointing at something with the mouse with the grab spell ready to go and when I click I don't get the thing I was aiming at.

Generally a problem when I'm highlighting a villager who's about to die and I instead pick up a perfectly healthy villager hidden underneath the one at death's door. I've lost a few villagers I feel I should have been able to save. I mean, not only have I not saved the one I wanted to save, but I actually brought his death on faster by taking his ally away...

I'd be happy if it would pick up the thing I was highlighting. If I couldn't catch it with my mouse and it got away/died I wouldn't be bothered.

That's the problem with having "god hands", they're huge, and you can't exactly pinpoint a tiny human from the mob! ;-]

I had the same problem actually, but I find it fits the spell since IMHO you should have some degree of "randomness" when trying to grab tiny things. :)

everytime i try to grab a monster while it's standing next to a bow turret it grabs a stack of arrows instead.

I've had a similar problem, grabbing a nearby monster or other villager than the one I was clicking on.

I think the problem is that the tower "hitbox" area is huge compared to the toon's one. Maybe the dev could give priority to people while grabbing things, but then again if you needed to grab something else you'd be disappointed all the same IMO.

I improved the accuracy of the gran tool (in general) in InDev 19, but I'll probably fix this problem soon too. It's a simple problem, it's basically collecting everything around the mouse that is in "Grab range" and then grabbing the first one on the list it found rather than the nearest one it found.

All that really needs done is the list needs to be sorted by distance from the mouse, then fetching the mob thats on top of the list.

That's ok, but it just came to my mind this cool idea: why not switching between several grab types with the mouse wheel while the grab spell is active?

Like in this order: 1) Grab people -> 2) Grab monsters -> 3) Grab stuff ... then go back to 1).
I don't know if it's possible, but I think this could give us much more control over this already useful spell.

But the mouse wheel is for zooming. :)

Also, while adding more specific grab conditions would probably be better, the player might find it annoying to have to select what type of thing they want to grab, then grab it. Although I suppose a "grab all" setting could just be default. Either way though, I'm not sure where a reasonable place to put the setting would be (either a hotkey, or on the GUI) as the mouse wheel is being used already and having a button on the GUI would be annoying to have to always click on.

Perhaps something more simple could be added though, like holding shift to toggle between "Mob" and "Resource" mode.

You're right, didn't think about the zoom! :-/
Anyway IMO the Shift-click option could be a nice and simple solution, thanks for replying. :-]
