Lose region completely achievement

Hello there,
i am a kinda new player. I had the game for quite some time now and dabbled somewhat in it mechanics but i never had any long time motivation to expand my village just for the sake of it.
Now with the achievements (talking about the ingame ones) i feel like i am beeing somewhat guided and sense some kind of progression.
So i thought to learn the game best i should grapple myself along the achievements, especially since they gatekeep each other it should be sensible to try to achieve them.
I just "achieved" the lose a region completely achievement and feel very tricked. I could have guessed from the name what this means but i honestly thought that there would be some reclaimation feature. I feel like i've been tricked by a malicious game master.

I also don't know when it's a sensible moment to expand my town into another region. I would be happy to have a bit more guidance in the game about stuff like that. Most tipps are post problem. I don't need a hindsight tipp, i need a tipp in advance to mitigate features i don't know about yet.

There's also a 'doom world' function, that allows you to completely restart, however you keep your achievements, chests, god exp, and any perks.

Yep, but where is it ?

As OP, I've just lost a region, "survival island" by the way, my first and only region so far (I reset my profiles after the last update).
I'd like to doom the world and restart a new one with the perks gained during this first set but I don't see how.

When I am on the main menu, "Play" + "World map" leaves me to the marld screen where I see all the regions, including the one I've just lost, but no way to doom and restart.
And on the same main menu, "change profile" just allows me to create and select a new profile without any perks gained.

At the world map, top right. It is a button that says "Doom World" when you hover over it. When you click it, you have to type something specific before it'll activate.

Its in the top right corner in the System Panel window. The icon that looks like a pencil rubber

i think you might be able to reclaim the lost region if you migrate some vilagers from a region thats next to it . i dont think its worth the efforth though (unless you have loads of regions done and you want to do the *win* condition of having all regions setled and last a season in them)

If the region is fully lost, as in, the game has kicked you out and said you've lost the region, you can't reclaim it at all. it's gone for good until you doom the world.

The button to the left of "Change Game Mode." That's the one. Click that one and then type RESET and then it'll let you doom the world.

How could I failed to spot it ? Sorry for the inconvenience, guys, I guess I was very tired yesterday, I'm felling really stupid now... My bad and thanks for the answers

I find it best to start moving people over to the next map by winter, so that as soon as I've completed the first year of a region I can jump ship and get started on the next. If I need to nip back to send over extra people or resources I can, when I know what I need. If I play a map until corruption is about to wreck me then I can't really squeeze that area for resources anymore.
