Ancillary Storage?

Ancillaries appear to have the capacity to store just about anything, but I can't seem to work out how to shift goods to them. Like, if I want to expand, I would like to lay down the ancillary, set up walls and towers, and then shift additional ammunition to the ancillary.

Most of my ancillaries seem to be perpetually empty, but for some ore collected from meteors. Meanwhile I'll build up an ammo supply that sits in the bowyer/rock tumbler and only gets shifted down on an as needed basis.

I've been rebuilding bowers and tumblers at the front line but it seems suboptimal.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. Is there a way to toggle storage on/off certain sites? As in, can I elect to prevent storage of ammo types in my main keep and non-front line ancillaries? Or is that what dedicated storage buildings are for (prioritised for storage above keep/ancillary)?

Ancilliaries are bottom priority for storing things in, like the village center. Think of that storage space as overflow. They're not meant to be dedicated storage.

AFAIK the only way to completely avoid things to be stored in a building is to turn it off (pause).

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. I've been under utilising organisers and reading other topics it sounds like one of my biggest issues. Keen to jump back in and create an unstoppable metropolis now!

Also, super impressed with the dedication on this game. I picked it up in the sale and it's amazing work for you a single dev spending years on. So many little things that add to the experience.

By the same token, why is "Misc Storage" the highest priority? I jsut witnessed my doggo pick up ALL of my raw food, walk past the food storage to dump it into misc :(
Now there's no room for bandages and other things that dosen't have it's own dedicated storage yet.
