Attract Tower

I'm sure it's written down somewhere but what exactly is this intended for? One useful feature I discovered is, when I place an attract tower near a cluster of farms, it grabs the harvested food into a pile for the farmers to collect easier. Other than that, is there really much use for this tower? Essence is expensive so I'm not sure if it's a waste.

Use it near your entrance maze to grab loot laying on the ground outside of your walls.

Monster dies -> Drops armor/weapon -> You get that with the Attract tower -> Villager gets armor/weapon for free!
