If you have other regions that are playable, you can do that. If not, doom the world, try again.
If the village center is destroyed, you can place the basic camp again and if anyone survives, they'll rebuild it when they can, allowing you to build back up. Generally, if you had monsters push through the village enough to destroy it, you've basically lost already. Depending on the specific situation, it may or may not be possible to recover.
Trying to migrate reinforcements in needs to be done with several days to work with. Migration is slow.
I mean, if you can't win (as per the current winning condition) as soon as you lose one map ... that's hardcore. Imagine you play well but somehow at the 10th map you lose. Yes, in theory you can continue playing on others maps, but you can't win.
I guess Ray will add something in the future so you can do a reconquest or something... Hopefully!

Losing on a map, then being able to play on 20 extra ones, and yet not being able to fulfill the win condition. No, I think Kyle is right, this will be reworked, as this just don't fly for now.
