The nomads pop up and this way you can expand your base and when you don`t wanna expand any more then it is your house and food who decide how many units you gonna have and now they eat upp all your storage with food and when you are out of food then they start to die.
The mechanics work this way we are forced to deal with it dude sadly but true.
Well that is just so wrong mechanics because what is the reason to have food storage when we don`t wanna expend anymore and a swarm of nomad pop up and eat up all the food ?
And how do we gonna deal with this issue when the winter pop up and all these nomade swarm in to the base and eat up all the food before the population start to die and as you know random people with high lv gonna die and that is unfair.
We should be able to stop them at any time as in other game mate to prevent them to eat up all the food in the base when we don`t wanna have them.
I get the alert that nomads have arrived, then 1 or 2 join me....but then a minute or so later I get another 1 or 2? Is that two instances of nomads arriving, or is that just a staggered arrival?
1) Why do you want LESS nomads? Man would I be thrilled to have more manpower on any map. They'll just help me achieve and build what I need to build even faster.
2) Food is an issue? How? Build a single farm next to a food patch and ask your farmers to get food from that patch. Once it is gone and you need more food, Motivate Land spell. You don't actually need more than a single farm? Just upgrade it, you'll have four jobs open.
3) Nomads won't appear if you don't have the housing to support them. So it begs the question of why did you build so much housing in the first place?
4) Water is a genuine concern but water collectors and wells are so easy to build... Even if you don't have the resources, your builders will go get trees and rocks for you and those should be built in a flash. Those buildings should be among the first builldings to ever get erected in your village, why or how do nomad make a difference here? When nomads get spawned their need bars are full, they're not the people you need to be concerned with in such a situation.
seriously though, I've been using the 1 farm per 25 pop and I'm never short, remember to upgrade them. if you get stuck in winter with nothing wild to harvest, there's always the market. but yeah, like the guy above said, don't build housing for nomads you can't support.. I like to leave 8-10 open housing spots personally, but I've never been "swarmed" by more than 3 or 4 nomads in a day
First village, friend, let's not be a ♥♥♥♥.
I farm each 25 population , ok so you have 8 people in your max upgrade farm then and i suppose you have 8 people in your kitchen to so what do your last 9 people doing to make your little base run smoothly ?
If you have 50 population and right before the winter turn on then 10 -12 nomade swarm your base then you have a very very big issue ,-)
They appear when they feel for it later in the game and it is nothing you can do to stop them and remember you need to upgrade your house to and now you got more space also.
???
I have 1 farmer per farm. 2 farms for 50 population = 2 farmers and 48 non farmers
the number 8-10 came from me saying how many housing spots I like to keep available.
I typically staff kitchen with just 1 as well, I haven't needed more than 1 kitchen yet
That was not the point dude , the point is : 50 + 10 = 20 % raise and now you need 20 % more food and then you need to save 20 % through the winter before the winter hit you.
