Doggo problem
Can someone explain me what to do when doggos start to overcrowd your houses (building doggo houses is pointles because they use your building slots)?

Yea, never use doggo houses myself, cause they provide less housing space then normal homes, but still cost a building slot. against overcrowding, i dunno, never had that happen

It's a way but not very good one doggos arrive at the speed of their destruction. They arrive at 7-10 doggos per day.

huh? That's certainly too high. I doubled their spawn rate. But you shouldn't be getting that many.

I'll look into it, you might have actually stumbled on a bug.

Right now I have 90 villagers and 70 doggos and I sacrificed around 20 or 30 doggos and there is actualyy around 10 wild doggos living in my village

Are you playing on custom mode by chance?

If not, what game mode are you playing?

ah, chances are your config file is out of date from before animal spawn settings were adjusted, so the rates are all screwed up.

Close out the game, open up profiles/gameModeConfig/ and open the template you're using in notepad, find animalSpawnRate and change the value to 200000. If it's missing entirely, add it to the list. Save and restart the game and you should be good to go. ;)

But i think a buff for the doggo house is still needed, cause atm, its the only building that i woud call entirley useless, cause even a normal house has more spots than it, and the main limiting factor is the building count.

That makes it pretty much allways better to build a normal house then a doggo home, cause it can be used by both, and in the end offers more sleeping spots.

The doggo house needs upgrades, which means art for those upgrades. Ray just hasn't gotten to it yet.
im having the other issue, i had 20 doggos at most, im on day 24 now and i have only 3 left for most died of natural causes

maybe have it to where doggos are more likely to breed or be tamed if there is dog house space, less likely if there is no dog house space. like no more taming if no dog house space and less likely to have pups too.
i get 8 spaces per doggo house, that aint too bad, its like a doggo hotel
