Way makers have stopped working
After laying the foundations of a road network and building most roads up to the log path level, my way makers have stopped working. They won't upgrade roads, but they will still dig ditches.

Resources can't be the problem. They seem to just wander around and idle. I've noticed some occasionally will walk to a tile set to be worked, start working, stop halfway through, and leave.

Edit: Read another forum post about the same issue. In his case, there was a blocked tile, but that glitch should've been patched in a previous update. Is it possible that this is the cause?

Hmm, this should have been fixed already. Check around your village for a tile marked to upgrade that is blocked (Using the data tab's block map view might help find it faster). That was the original cause, if that's still what's happening I'll have to do a little research and figure out what's going on.

Deselecting it should fix your problem. If you find one let me know what building it was on. :)

Forget it. I lost that game. Feels like ♥♥♥♥ to lose something I put many hours into.

Started a new world. Same problem.

Huh, interesting that it happened twice. Something about your play style must be triggering it. Are those screenshots the only areas selected on the map?

I'd love to get a copy of your profile so I can look more into it. You can upload it via the in-game uploader. Go to the profile select screen, click the arrow next to your profile, dev request, then upload. Alternatively you can also just zip the /profiles/ folder and upload it to dropbox or similar.

After you upload, it's possible you can fix your waymakers by resetting the AI. Right before you visit the region, hold down left shift, and a new "Reset AI" button will pop up. Click it, and it'll reset the entire village back to idle. Another option would be just to unassign all the way makers, wait for them to all quit their job, then reassign them. Either one may give them the kick in the pants they need.

I've already tried reassigning the way makers, and I've also tried rebuilding the way maker shack a few times. I'll upload my current profile. I bet it's something obvious that's been flying over my head.

Edit: I forgot to let Java through my firewall and it crashed, lol.

Edit 2: May have uploaded it twice...

i had the same issue but im pretty sure it was down to resources but im not sure why, i had people collecting wood/stone and had some in stores but non in way makers shack. eventually they did build all the paths i wanted. as soon as you tell them to build a basic path then they are striaght on it, tell them to upgrade and it sometimes takes ages.

not sure how the resources were limiting but that seemed to solve it for me, unless they only build if you have a certain amount or something?

Switching from a custom difficulty to Survival fixed it, for me.
