Lightning Rods Help
I'm going to have to ask a very serious question. How am I supposed to use lightning rods? Because I have them literally near my towers/walls, and well....they attract lightning, which just so happens to also damage any nearby buildings. Said lightning rods are established lightning rods too. And let's say I build them away from my maze? What is the range of protection on these things? Full map? Half of it? 8 squares? What?

Isn't the range written inside the lighting rod's detail panel? O_o

Don't build them butted up against the walls/other buildings. They need room to breathe. The lightning does an area-damage that's slightly larger than the lightning rod, so if you put the rod right up against a wall, the lightning will still sometimes damage said wall.

But, to answer the original question; the range is fairly large, 64 tiles in every direction. 2 or 3 of them can easily cover an entire village. The "range ring" (like the towers have) will be added before stable is out. :)

Okay. So I completely messed up my defense. I'll just demolish those rods then, and rebuild them somewhere else. Thanks for the information. And the fast response.
Good to know the details! :-]
