Corcerning the Lightning Rod...
What's the range on the thing? I'll even accept a ballpark estimate. Just trying to figure out how many I need to make sure my walls don't get Mother Nature-d. =P

In InDev 26u2 "Ridiculously massive" about sums it up. 2 on each end of your village will cover everything.

It has been nerfed in Unstable 3 though, but it's still fairly large, and a range ring overlay has also been added so you can actually see the coverage. :)

So, I just noticed that the Lightning Rod takes damage when struck. All the buildings around it take damage, too. This goes for all three "levels" of Lightning Rods.



Is that intended? It kinda defeats the purpose if it is. I just get to choose which buildings I want destroyed in the case of a bad storm?

Yep, it's intended. Don't build things too close to it. The damage radius of lightning is larger than the lightning rod itself. Keep all buildings 2ish tiles away in all directions and you'll be fine. ;)

Maybe add a warning about building too close, in building description?
