How can you aim so precisely at high sensitivity
I'm used to playing in really low sens as I have 50x50cm mousepad especially in cs. In Overwatch it's a bit higher and I used to have high sens on tf2 but I can't find balance where I can do flickshots and precise tracking and if I do it usually messes up my aim in other games

Steady hands and excellent muscle control, not using anything but high DPI for a couple decades wouldn't hurt.

Yup, but it isn't a requirement for these types of games, plenty of my old clan mates were low sense players.

Now it's time to get into this game and get my arse kicked for a few months :D

So you think that Quake players use high sens? A lot of big Quake players used low sens mostly coupled with acceleration. I'm fairly sure that this game is no different in that regard. The trick is to learn to move your whole arm not just the wrist. You can do flicks even without accel on low sens just dont go too low. I have 22cm/360 or somethign like that.

Yeah I have like 35cm/360 I just can't be steady otherwise. I've always seen acceleration as a big no in games but maybe it's just because I'm out of practise in arena shooters

If you can't get raw input from a mouse in a game you're not really ever in control of where you're looking with your hardware.

Acceleration is just like Vsync, it robs you of inputs.

Could say the same for you, since mouse acceleration is a compound issue of polling rate and your operating systems/the software you are using the mouse in's prediction settings more than anything your outdated article from 2010 talks about.

So im literally posting a link to a thread with pro quake players mouse settings and then you come telling me that they all have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ setups and dont understand how mice work in games.

Quake had seperate commands for setting your own custom accel and so does Reflex and these people still to this day use mouse accel but yet somehow in your opinion it is completely trash way to play the game. How come that almost every top tier arena fps player uses accel? Really makes you think..

I personally dont use accel but at the same time I'm not going to tell the others who use and have success with it that they're stupid for doing so.

Doesn't look like it, not even implied but okay let's go with that assumption. Sure, you're right. :conwayshrug:

Yes, it's amazing that they've been playing such a difficult game incorrectly for so long according to your perspective.
