Free Roam After Game Completion?
After I've completed all of the main quests, am I free to continue my free roam, or at least complete the additional quests I have left rather than having to start all over again?

Off Topic:

I also really want to see an open-world, free roaming, Capital-Wasteland-sized Lord of the Rings game! It could include Helm's Deep, Mordor, Isengard, The Shire and everything! Although it'd have to be scaled down, it could work! You could pick your own race and even play as an Orc, Urak-Hai or Goblin. It'd be crazy if you could participate in the Main Battles such as the Black Gate, Helm's Deep or even the one at Minas Tirith. I doubt this'd ever happen but yeah, wishful thinking. ^^

About the off topic part... There is such a Lord of the rings game but its a MMORPG If your into that sort of thing. And it has most of the things you say you want Different Races,Playing as orcs,Battle of Helm's Deep and other big battles. And free roam through the shire and other famous places. Best part is that its Free to play and can be found on the steam store just search "Lord of the rings Online" As for your original question I don't think so from what I read from other posters but I could be wrong.

Negative on the free roam part. Best you can do is use the waypoint to teleport back around the map before getting to the final boss.

Its not open-world unfortunately but its pretty awesome if your a LOTR fan. I dont think you can continue when you beat the game but it does have new game+ which means you start over with all your weapons and stuff, its also on a harder mode, when you start over. Hope that helps :B1:

Hopefully Shadows of Mordor will be the LOTR open world game we've all been waiting for http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/11/12/december-2013-shadow-of-mordor-67498.aspx

y'know.... there WAS an epic mod called MERP that was in development for Oblivion, then later moved to Skyrim, but then Warner Brothers sent a cease and desist D: D: D: D: D:
it looked sooooo freaking epic
you can still download the beta for Oblivion, which has a few explorable cities and most of the terrain/mountains/rivers/forests/etc. no npcs though
Oblivion version moddb page: http://www.moddb.com/mods/merp-middle-earth-roleplaying-mod
Skyrim Version moddb page: http://www.moddb.com/mods/merp-middle-earth-roleplaying-project

the oblivion version had a world 7 times the size of the orignal oblivion
