Is this the updated patched version?

I am thinking about purchasing this game, since I remember it from my childhood (I was 12 when it came out). All those hours of playing after school, and summer break. To bring that back would be awesome!!!

However, I remember my copy having super bugs. One moment stands out getting lost in a salt mine - fighting skeletons, only to have the game continue to lockup.

Due to the latter - I know when Microprose was big - they had updates on BBS; however, I never had the chance to update my copy - years later - my 3.5" floppy copy died due to data lost on the disks.

So - is this the updated copy aka patched copy? What version of the game is it? Does it come with a copy of the manual and map?

Hey there. I bought this recently and thought I would try to help you out. The game does actually come with manual and map, plus a soundtrack, cluebook and quick reference card. (I found these by looking at Properties -> Browse local content in my steam library.)

Unfortunately, I never played this back in the old days, so I'm not too sure about versions. The game's config screen says "Version 483.07" Hope that helps.

I believe 483.07 version is the final one. Unless there are any fan patches.
