Minecraft Remake?!?

I think that it is a cheaper Minecraft remake. Apology to the entwikler but I 'm just saying my free opinion. I hope that something better out of this is the beginning :) It is definitely a game that has potential to be something bigger and better.

Nope. The similarities I've gathered it shares with MC
-You can get a pickax (not something that originated in MC!)
-You can get a boat (it takes place in the ocean, plus, these are bigger and better than those tiny little lifeboats you get in MC)
-You can fish (its the ocean...)

That's about all I could find they have in common

Yeah, I would equate this more with Wind Waker than Minecraft! That's just me.

Nothing to do with Minecraft

- visuals are didfferent : Salt is not an ugly cubic mess. i won't say it ridiculizes cry engine, but, at least, salt is not cubic.
- gameplay is different : you can't construct a lot of buildings and farm in salt then look for people to grief.
- interaction with NPCs is different : you can't capture a zombie and turn him into a farmer in Salt

I think that this game so much more potential than it now is by the trailer. For the comparison with Minecraft is to say that I found it in the first moment so. For me, this game Minecraft without the blocks there. For this purpose, but each also has his own opinion. I hope I prefer this game again later in the preamble to buy. I might get interest in buying it, but not in it's present alpha stage
(some put their game on EA when it is 5% ready, others when it's 80% done.
Just a matter of choice, philosophy or...business)

Time to play some more Salt games :p

Alter.... Nur weils Voxel ist, ist es noch lange kein Minecraft. Das Spiel hat ganz andere Ziele wenn du ein Spiel mit voxel und in Richtung Minecraft suchst, dann schau dir die zig dutzende von Spiele an, die genau das sein wollen.

Dude... its voxel but it isnt minecraft of course. The game have complet outher goals.
There are a lot of outher games in steam with voxel and this games wanna be how minecraft.

OK, so what crafting/gathering game is NOT like MC in a sense? MC has become a genre and therefor, I would agree that this game is in that Genre until you consider the sailing aspect. Then MC is left way behind.
