Hardstone?

How do you find hardstone. I have bashed tons of bolders and havnt found any. Is there something im missing. I want to make a pickaxe but can not find hardstone anywhere? Thanks

Same here i have been looking for while but can not find it anywhere, do we make it, or is it only in the glowing rocks i see at night?

You'll need to find rich boulders, or they can occassionally be sold by merchants. Rich boulders will have green cracks on them instead of black. Hope that helps!

Lol, about a minute after i posted in this thread i found some, have pickaxe will...mine alot more!

but how do you break the rich boulders without a pickaxe. nothing seems to damage them

You should be able to break the rich boulders with a club.

? really i tried on a bunch an nothing luckily i jus found a trader an bought a pickaxe so i should be good for now thanks tho ill try again with club when i come across another

The only boulder that shows a healthbar is the weak boulder which then goes down when bashed with a club.
This lead me to assume that no other boulder can be broken with the club, since they do not show a healthbar, and that I needed the next tool.

Weak boulders have black cracks - Can be broken up with a club
Rich boulders have green glowing cracks - Can be broken up with a club -( Hardstone can found within )

Iornite boulders have deep blue cracks - Can be broken up with a pickaxe
Moon boulders have glowing lite blue cracks - Can be broken up with a pickaxe

These are the only ones i have found so far.

All seem to have random placement

If you get lucky, you will find a pick axe on the lsland you start at, i found one i spawned on luckly.

Yeah, I found a pickaxe on my 20ith-ish island far before I ever found a rich boulder.
