What are the fastest ships?

My sailing boat is a little faster than the Pardon Pusher, is it the fastest?

The Jungle Skimmy might be a tad faster. But the sailboat is much more maneuverable so is the best exploration boat.

I did a semi controlled test for all of the ships as follows. I'd start one ship sailing due north, then spawn another ship ahead and slightly to the side, then jump onto the second ship, or into the water beside it. As fast as possible I'd raise the sails of the second ship and see if I could catch up to the first one.

From this, I can say that nothing could catch the Jungle Skimmy so it's fastest. Second fastest is the small sailboat, as it can catch up to and pass anything except the Jungle Skimmy. The Pardon Pusher and White Narwhal are tied for third place, then the Red and Blue Maidens, then the brown and black old pirate ships, and last is the sailing raft.

You could do that, or use the chip log and save yourself some effort
