I still play it, but not online. I refuse to put up with Novalogic's CRAP. Novalogic is the one who killed off their own product by enforcing stupid inane rules on everyone. They though that they could dictate to everyone on how the game will be played according to them. The invoked stupid rules on everyone, and everyone left. They even told server operators that they could no longer use the Med Mod on a fricken private server. The boneheads also wanted everyone to play on their servers, at a cost of course. They had the worst support, if you even want to call it support to begin with. They would NOT listen to what users wanted. They are total jerks, which is sad because Joint Operations STILL can NOT be surpassed by ANY FPS on the market. JO may not have the best graphics but it has all modes of play, and coop was the very best. JO has more maps than ANY game on the market, just goto Delta Force Barracks and you will see what I mean... thousands of them. JO has the BIGGEST maps, about 144,000 square miles. Has the most weapons (75+), modes of transportation (30+), you can even do wheelies and power slides on the motorcycles. I think the player size online was 256 people on a single map. Over at International Conflict organization they had HUGE all day battles!!! JO can not be played very well with the IDIOT Rambo players, like in COD, you will get shot real quick doing that stupid crap, you must play tactically!!! There are 5 mods for JO also, and bunches of Med Mods. Now when you look on line, there are normally 60-100 servers, and generally 5 to 30 people playing. I ONLY play using the LAN feature, I play alone, and WITH a med mod, and Nova and kiss my butt if they dont like it!!! JO is STILL very worth playing. Not the best graphics, but can play on even old computers so long as your video card supports transform and lighting (T&L), and the game is VERY low bandwidth. On newer computers, the frames per second are normally no less than 100 fps, I can easily hit 3,000+ which makes the hold game run smooth as can be. I would still highly recommend buying JO, but nothing else from the BONEHEADS, and play by yourself!!!

such a shame, this series had some potential... although novalogic's baby was DF: BHD so this game never got the attention it deserved. Definitely one of my favorites. I'd do anything for those 125 player maps on Orange Bowl... those were the days

=SOG= Gaming Squad at www.10thsog.com ... As one of the oldest and active Novalogic gaming squads, we play CO-OP mode exclusivly with very few exceptions. Granted, we play the Advanced Warfare2 Mod (AW2).

The AW2 mod enhances Joint Ops alot with more and different weapons, medic abilities and custom made maps.

The AW2 mod does not work with the digital versions... Joint Ops Gold. But you can buy the regular physical disk of Joint Operations Combined Arms for less than $10 via Amazon, Half.com, Ebay, etc If you really want to know the details, the AW2 mod only requires Joint Operations Typhoon Rising, which you can find even cheaper.

People complain about Novalogic, and to an extent they are right. But it's not as horrific bad as people like SgtRomad say... it's what you make of the Novalogic games and how you play them. Plus, =SOG= is setting up a Tunngle server (Tungle makes a LAN enviroment playable over internet distances).

Far as I know the med mod is include in AW2 (see my post before yours)

Far as I know the med mod is included in AW2 (see my post before yours). Med mod takes out the class limitation. Everyone has the ability to carry any type of weapon while being a medic (ability to heal or regenerate other fallen players).

The game is GREAT, it is the IDIOTS at Novalogic that made the players go away. JO had a HUGE following at one time and when these fools started dictating how the game will be played, and barred the med mod, the players went away... PERIOD!!!

Infinite ammo in vehicles. The ability to stand on a moving vehicle, WITHOUT DYING. You could load 4 apcs in a giant helicopter and fly them across the map. The list goes on. Yeah, I may have to buy this again.

Well after reading 7 HUGE disrespectfull rants from Romad you might think Nova ruined his life or something....dam dude. As i recall the medmod wasn't that special and who cares if Novaservers didn't allow it. If you only played on their servers then you missed 90% of what made this game awesome. Also since there was a lawsuit that lasted more than 10 years, it put the developement of the game on hold and Nova became stuck in a limbo that slowely killed the population. The only hope or light in all this was the start of the alpha developement of Angel Falls. But it too was put on hold because the outcome of the lawsuit looked dismal and ultimately ruined it all. Thanks a lot EA!

But unlike greedy developers like EA, Nova did what it could to keep it alive as long as possible with the hopes of some day continuing on with the best set of military games ever. Nova loved it's players EA hates its players even today. They only think of profit and moving on to the next game. If Nova really didn't care they would have ditched us long long ago. Thank you Nova for making such awesome war games. I've spent 11+ years playing DF1, DF2, LW, TFD, BHD, JO, JOE, IC4, SNA, AW and AW2.. All excellent, unique and more fun than any other war games hands down, no contest. I still have AW2, IC4 and ICE installed and will never remove them. I have not yet been able to play more than a few maps of ANY Battlefield cuz they suck so much compared to JO. Who the hell decided to kill the player if they fly too far??? Stupidest idea ever EA!!! Still to this day me and past NATOSquad members are still hunting for that military FPS that might live up to DeltaForce and Joint ops, but have only been dissapointed because NOTHING compares to them, and looks as though nothing ever will! (except maybe ARMA :)

If you have a chance to play this game, don't miss it. The experience is unlike any other game you will ever find.
