check out OPERATION HARSH DOORSTOP. I'm very impressed with it. not all the hassle of playing SQUAD or ARMAIII, just get in and play. More realistic than JO, but very similar. SOMETIMES the movement doesn't feel fluid, but TALKING with your squad to plan your moves is a blast. AND it does AAS!

It's a free game, and I guess designed for modding, so there are tons of cool additions is desired, but even the base game is beautiful.

I tried out Operation Harsh Doorstop and really like it. It could be a replacement to JO. Squad , ARMA, COD, are ALL LAME! They don't have a great coop game play at all. They are all "run and gun", great for kids, and no tactical play. What made JO so popular was its coop mode, NOT capture of the flag, king of the hill, ect... these modes STINK!!! What we really need in OHD is a coop mode modeled after JO!!! I like playing against BOTS! I like a slower pace, bigger maps, to rely on tactics NOT speed. We already have enough of these stupid games that only fast people can play... run and gun. If the devs model OHD like JO's coop, it will be a raving success. Sometimes we get tired of playing against other players. The original Battlefield was the ONLY game that came close, I still play it often, I play JO EVERY NIGHT alone, never online anymore. JO coop inspired people to create thousands of maps. I have hundreds of them in my collection. If the devs give us coop like JO it would be fantastic!!!

I've played a lot of bots online. Bots are not the best programmed but still fun.

Have you checked the MOD community under WORKSHOPS? It was easy and there are tons of good ones

What arma server are you playing on?
This game and its community is probably the worst i have ever experienced growing up with a craptop, Arma cold war assault has a more active, friendly community and thats like 12 people lol

I dont play ARMA anymore. I got tired of traveling forever, getting to a location, next to nothing to fight, and the bots shoot almost perfect every time.
