Worth buying for Single Player?

I am playing Ravenfield at the moment and really enjoying it .

I also play Insurgency 2014 and Sandstorm with bots as well as Cs1.6 with bots.Have played a little BF2 with Bots as well. I assume this game does not support Multiplayer Bots, which I enjoy playing with in these other games I have mentioned.

However is the game worth playing for singleplayer ?
How many maps/missions are there?
Are they hard if only 1 player?

Another question does the IC 4.1.8 Mod add anything to a single player game?

Worth buying for sure, there are a ton loads of community made maps along with the maps that comes with the game and alot of coop servers online. If you want to get all the mods just visit - https://novahq.net/ or https://totalinternational-conflict.com and go to the download section! On the novaHQ site there are plenty of maps you can download too.
Not sure if this was the right answer to your question but the game is really worth buying!

The game focuses on multiplayer and cooperative. So cooperation is an important piece when it comes to overcoming missions. The missions can be played alone, but I warn you that you will suffer a lot until you can overcome them. I bought it for the singleplayer missions and I certainly loved them. Then from there I focused on looking for cooperative servers to play with people and it was amazing.
But answering your question, if you are looking to play it alone for the individual missions, then I say yes. In fact, it gives it an extra extra difficulty when playing it alone and makes it more challenging. The number of missions I don't remember how many there are. There are about 6 or 7 training sessions for you to learn the basics. Of the normal missions, I think there are 13 or 14.
I'm not familiar with mods, but from what I've seen, a lot of the game changes.

What folder do I install new maps to?
I downloaded a new mission/map and it contains a .bms file,
where does this go?
edit I worked out they are just dropped into main directory,is this correct?
Also what is difference between .mis and .bms files? (noticed some other file types like .WAC and .npz as well)

When i go to https://novahq.net/ I see there is maps for
(1)Typhoon Rising and also (2)Escalation ,can I use both sets of maps?

With Esc you can play the Typhoon and the Esc maps, if you start with the Typhoon Rising mod you can only play the "Typhoon" maps. You download them into your "Joint Operations Typhoon Rising" folder and when you start the game you go to Lan and pick host game and in there you find the downloaded maps. Just pick them and play and enjoy!

It is a good game,
been on an Insurgency trip lately and can't stop playing and modding Insurgency 2014 ,I am addicted to it.

I will get back to this game soon.
Only played a bit but did really like it.

I use to be totally addicted to JO. One night my dad calls me from the ER and says my mom is in. I asked him "Is she actively in the process of dying?", he said NO... I told him I would be up there after I finish my map! JO was a DRUG, just like World of Warcraft... I lived ONLY to play JO... absolutely LOVE JO, the best combat game ever written, even to this day!!!
