Playing Advanced Warfare 2 MOD on the Steam - Gold version

Just bought the game (I have both on CD still somewhere in the attic!!) on Steam since I got rid of my DVD ROM years ago and haven't built a PC yet with one in it...

Anyway..... I see there are some servers up but they are running the AW2 and ICE mods. So far I have spent hours tracking down the mods that work with Steam. The ICE mod works with this Gold pack but have yet to find one that will install for the AW2 mod.

It says that the mod cannot install to a GOLD version. I am still trying to find a Discord that might help me with this since I see people ARE playing this mod....hopefully they are doing it with Steam version?

Any help would be appreciated.
