Fast means you need awareness/reaction/twitch/anticipation skills to keep up. If you can't keep up, that's a direct lack of skill. I mean, very little happens without my awareness, when I have a map and my eyes to tell me what is going on at all times. If you can't track a target and keep eyes on everything, then you don't have the motor skills for the game, yet. You will need to develop them, since this game is based on a lot of different skills.
If the game is too fast for you, that's fine. It's not for everyone; this game is tough. But please don't insult the game for your lack of ability. Respect it.
I'm not a moba player and usually avoid those games completely, this is a good balance between genres imo.
Here's the real deal folks ..this game will not be succesful as it currently stands ...guess what , think im wrong come back and talk in a year and you will see I was clearly right.
'
This game is a middle ground. There is a an awareness to everything that goes on in a match, know the characters, work together, and it's not that difficult. Gotta predict and learn patterns a bit too.
Honestly love every second of playing this game, but sadly you may be right in a way... Seeing ppl just giving up already :\
The game is great , but just like some games that have failed liek the new doom mp or the idea that unreal tournament will ever be a esport again its just not gonna happen.
If OW failed as a esport because it was too hard to watch and people found it confusing to watch than this certainly will.
The only place OW as a esport has been succesful is in Korea ..everywhere else it is a total failure. And none of the players are making any real money
I think more what the deal is, is that in Gigantic the action is nonstop. Gigantic doesn't give you a chance to take a breather, ever, unless you somehow manage to TPK the entire enemy team, and even then, all that means is that you have a chance to rush a monster down, so there's no rest for the wicked there either.
Would definitely back up that Smite recommendation though if you think Gig is too fast but still like the idea of a skillshot-based moba.
Sadly I still have to agree that this game will be dead within a year though, even though I disagree with basically all of your reasons (this just isn't the game for you, sorry). Gigantic commits the grave sin of existing at the same time as Overwatch. x.x Which for most people will be their hero-shooter of choice simply because it's more popular and more polished.
(PS: Where's my push-to-talk key dangit.)
I won't disagree that Gig is fast for a mobalike though, it's definitely one of the fastest mobalikes that can still be called as-such. But from a TTK standpoint, OW is still "faster". Edit: It all depends on what metrics you use to define speed. I was just trying to use the metric that seemed most relevant to the OP. Who's wrong and who's right is all a matter of perspective.
If I could make one suggestion it would be a nicer indication of losing health/ dealing damage.
I think OW nailed that pretty good.
Not that I think Gigantic should mimic OW in a major way.
Gigantic is pretty good being it's own thing
