Constant windowed mode

The game runs in full screen but still has the windowed borders. How do i change this? its clipping to the top portion of my screen

Mmm is rare, i can play in fs mode in Full HD (Using NGlide, see this forum for more info)

What is your configuration? And your OS?

didnt work for me, still in window mode and how do i get the console to work, it says it is the num 7 button but nothing hapond, meybe its bekaus it is in window mode....??

no the console window only works for applying cheats in single player, it will not change anything else. In the tachyon install folder, you'll find tachyon.cfg, open that using Notepad, see if changing the Windowed= setting to either 1 or 0, makes a difference. You must save the file and launch tach again to see any changes take effect. Lastly you may want to rerun the video setup from the launcher where it checks your video card. If it is finding two cards, pick one, check the results, if it's not working, try the other.

I just deleted Tachyon.cfg and Front.cfg from the folder and the problem fixed itself.

CORRECTION: Deleting Tachyon.cfg will solve the border issue, but the quality will be poor. For a full HD monitor, keep your file and make sure the following settings are as follows:

WINDOWED=0
USE_HARDWARE=1
NO_VSYNC=0
RES=2
HW_TYPE=1
DEVICE=0
DEF_GAMMA=100
DEF_BRIGHT=70

If using a resolution greater than 1024x768 you might experience ship spinning at the beginning of each mission. Alt+Tab out of the game then back in to fix this.

Have these suggestions changed? I get a constant windowed mode no matter what I try. I am using the n glide method, and have tried the changed in the cfg file. nothing works. Any help?

Is the game running in compatibility mode?
