some questions about this game

for starter i've been getting into flight sim again after beating freespace and many people been recommending me this game so i really2 wanted to play it but

1. so i knew that this game got branching paths , so does this game got like secret ending or bad ending or something like that or the branching path is more of like a matter of choosing sides ?? or maybe some extra stuff if you play in higher difficulties ?? since honestly i dont really want to get something like "bad ending" on my first playthru lol

2.is it worth getting this ver or should i get the GOG one ??

3.is there game breaking bugs that makes you couldnt beat the missions/campaign and stuff like that ? is there any fix for it ??

The Versions are the same no matter which version you get.

Half way into the game you will get a choice of one of two missions, the mission you choose branches the story line. But this game just had a story. There wasn't a "Bad Outcome" it was just Win or your dead.

There are cheats to enter to "Win/Complete" a mission if you keep screwing it up, lol.

ah ok but does that cheat screwed up the game/mission or something ?? i remember freespace 2 u cant use cheats cuz the mission wouldnt complete and progress if u do that

Not at all. It is an old game where the cheats are build into it. Press "Numpad 7" and enter a certain command. Then you get Bruce Campbell telling you off for it, lol.

I used it years ago because I kept failing the "Choice Mission".

yeah but it doesnt give any penalties on the campaign right ?? as long as it doesnt affect anything i might even use mods for the game lol

and by the way how long is this game ? seems longer than freespace 2's
