WASD and arrow keys not working in game...all other keys work.

I just installed the game and was planning a stream, but I cannot get the WASD or arrows keeys to work. They register when I try to rebind them, but not in gameplay. I do not have any controllers plugged into the PC and have tried all I can think of to fix this.

Anyone with any idea let me know, but this may be a game glitch which would suck because I will have to cancel the stream then.

Heya, try disabling the gamepad in the Input section of the Options screen?

Yeah, I checked disable and restarted steam and the game and still the same issue. I tried in windowed and fullscreen modes as well. My concern is something is weird because I am using a wireless keyboard. Although all the keys are usable when rebinding.

That is indeed super weird. Uhhh, do the other keys work? It might be a long shot but are you using the tilde ~ key for anything?

The other keys work in-game, just not WASD, or arrow keys. The mouse works for clicking, but not motion. I'm not using the tilde key for anything. I may try the 360 controller for the game, but I prefer keyboard/mouse for this style of game. Also, thank you for your fast responses.

hi, I am in the same boat. arrow keys dont work but can jump and shoot. no mouse look tho. tried a few things still no luck(rebinding does not fix it) useing logitech drivers/keybrd.

^^^^Exactly what I am dealing with...using Logitech as well. I just tested the 360 controller and that works fine, but I really hope we can get the keyboard/mouse working because I much prefer k/m for FPS style games.

Huh, so with my 360 controller plugged in and the "disable controller" box unchecked...my keyboard is now working. This is weird indeed. Hopefully this works. Try it out and see if it works for you

Do you have any overlays hooking into the game? Such as Discord, Fraps, etc. Also rule out the streaming program (OBS, Xsplit, etc.). Basically close out of everything, see if it works.

Edit: Been having an issue with Discord not playing nice with Rocket League.

Any of you having the problem, could you shoot me the output_log.txt file of the issue occurring (i.e. not having the controller plugged in and all that). I want to see if there's an actual error that's causing this issue or what. Thanks so much!

I do use Discord/OBS but I had all of it turned off while testing. Also, I'm glad the fix I found worked for you @ironwolf3122 :)

Where is the log file location? I looked in documents where most games post logs, but I do not see the game there. I also check steamapps

Go to the game's local files, there's a folder called Wasted_Data. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me get to the bottom of this!
