Thunder Wolves is too over the top for my taste and there's a severe lack of those games on steam. The only other game that I know has helicopters is Renegade Ops but they don't handle very well.
I would agree with this, it looks good and they have a nice range of control types from more simplified to more sim. It's fairly easy to pick up and get playing in a few minutes, no manuals to read.
Have you gone back and played the strike series? I'm assuming that's what you are referring to although the view was more isometric. They still hold up today and are not that hard to get hold of.
I would love to see a new strike series. Fair Strike looks like thats what they were going for, the reviews aren't so good but I might give it a go.
I've already tried Fair Strike, it's a sim much like Commanche. I ended up refunding it as that's not what I'm looking for.
Although its not on steam.
Also the awesome FMV's will get u straight into the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2TKNclTfIU
I originally had this game on my playstation 1, but it also excists for PC
Yeah, spot on, that's what I'm looking for but with modern graphics. Why won't anyone make these anymore?
I've been toying around with the idea.
There are some other Strike like games in development, but they're either the kind that are exactly like the old games without any sort of modern twist, or they don't take themselves very seriously and neither are a balance I really care for.
Glad to know there are other people like me craving for this type of game.
Man, if you think you've got the chops to take on a project like that, I'm down with supporting ya.
My whole 200 hours of playtime was spent on playing helicopter.
Here take a look at some videos that i recorded.
