Bug in Cutwire 2?

I am having a weird problem in that chapter, either at the first or second generator to fix, it just doesn't let me put in the thing it ask for, the outline indicating that it's interactable doesn't appear, I tried doing things in different orders but nothing changes, it just run out of timer without being able to do anything. I appreciate some help, I was liking the game and it would be Shane to not able to finish it because of this.

Weird, nothing similar happened to me and just tried it, are you sure you have the parts you need and that is the generator you have to repair?
Could you share some screenshots or a video of the bug happening?

Having the same issue. Can't seem to progress further in the game because of it

Okay I think I found what's wrong. Try getting interacting again with the blue vial thingy *after* picking up the battery from inside the machine (the one with the timer) and then it should let you insert it into the objective (broken machines)
