Multiplayer with Hex Editor
Does this work with this game? If yes, I wonder why they haven't included it by default.

I saw the same site then came across your thread here, has anyone tested this? Looks like it just let's you play up to all 4 of the playable nations you choose, could even play multiplayer on same screen.

There's more about it here too:
http://www.colonization.biz/hack.htm

Apparently when you declare independence all other players loose control.

Interesting that he also mentions a hack that allows you to play as one of the Indian nations. I remember seeing something about that nearly 20yrs ago but can't seem to find any guide on how to do it.

Just used hex editor to succesfully play 2 human English and Dutch and 2 AI game but with a major flaw: only one European port screen is accesible (London, as it was England the player that was originally human) , the other human player can´t access his Europe screen, when pressing E, the game goes to London not Amsterdam. Is there a solution to this?

Thanks in advance

Probably not haha! I think in the end the only way to play classic style colonization multiplayer is by using FreeCol sadly.

yes because its never finished in the bin files, leaving some of the variables bound to the player not the nation, witch they share than.
