Yes, this game likely has profit, not loss. That's automatic Win for Yasuke Sim, against other games failing to make any profits.
That's just what autism/low IQ/being a kid looks like.
So be kind and stop bullying the poor indie devs, Ubisoft are trying their best.
1: AC Shadows just released and some of those players might refund the game.
It's the time after the Steam refund window closes that matters here.
2: AC Shadows had an advertisement budget and this game had no advertisement budget.
So Shadows having a million players doesn't equal a profit yet.
Whole this game having 200 players or even a 100 players with no advertisement budget is actually impressive.
Right now we're in the after release who will update and make fixes to who's game stage of a video game life?
Will AC Shadows fix in game issues and negotiate political issues successfully and will this game make quality of life improvements like controller support, stability issues and optimization type updates?
That is where we are at with both games and will make the real difference in numbers.
The Selaco Devs didn't want to have anything to do with the "Awards Show", which was nothing more then a YouTube Tier List (Wasn't even any actual awards and cost $30 just to vote) because they did not like or agree with the views of the hosts.
Saying "They were mad about free advertising" is manipulative behavior.
And proof was provided. The host was Raz0rfist who had been dating a girl since she was 15 while he was in his mid 20's. It sparked enough controversy he ended up leaving the Side-Scrollers podcast that Stuttering Craig hosted.
3000 people worked on that and the end credits is 2 hours long. Even Concord was like an hour only.
Both Yasuke Simulator and Assassin's Creed Shadows are single player games. People will start them whenever, and be done with them whenever.
The real metrics is sales amount, maybe tempered with production cost vs revenue if you're into that.
Could be that they've been so used to using said metric to gauge the success of live service games. But you make a fantastic rational point about single player titles and how that shouldn't BE the gold standard of measurement used for them.
Kudos.
nice try, but you are not getting my clown awards
2. the point about the award show being a youtube tier list in your opinion, as well as the fact that it costed $30 to vote, is a complete nothingburger. so long as people knew what they were spending their money one, what is the issue here, and why are u even bringing that up in the first place? Also, Compared to other award shows like Golden Joysticks, Valve's game awards (forget if they have an actual name), and The Game Awards, Craig doesn't have nearly as much money as Valve, or as many sponsors as GJ and TGA, so he probably needs more money than they do by a longshot.
3. Once again, you're implying that Craig has some bad views, a rather vague claim with broad implications, with no proof. This is a bad faith thing to do, and if u dont like me saying that, then provide sources, links, etc. next time.
4. If Razorfist left the podcast because of the things he did, then that makes the claim that the selaco devs were justified even worse. Why would you lash out against someone who kicked a pedophile off of his podcast? that makes literally no sense.
Once again, you have shown that you do not argue with any semblance of good faith, and use pedophilia accusations as a weapon against people you dont agree with politically. I dont know the full story of Razorfist, and whether or not the things you say are true, but if he is those things, using him as a tool to own stuttering craig is a low blow, and you shouldnt do that to anyone, regardless of political affiliation.
