Custom Guide Models and bending guides?

I know we have the 3 different shape guides, combining is great but I want to use the "inner" curve of the sphere, as im wanting to have linear curve guides to paint 2d onto can I paint inside the sphere object I didnt see that I could?

Can this be done or is there a way of importing in a curved plain of my choice as OBJ and then "make guide" from it?

This is a new user question/request if cant be done type of thread.

Also would be nice if you could flatten out the square guide to oblong shape (which can be done of course) and then "bend" it with you controls - or distort it - pretty much like 3d app can do but just for guide models.

Sadly there is no way to bend guides and no way to import your own guides, its honestly a difficult problem to solve :) However, this is awesome feedback, thank you!
