Copying and Pasting is breaking poly integration
I've been working on trying to figure out what's going on for a few months now. I made a sketch where half of the brushes were all hand placed, I uploaded it to poly and imported it into something else to see how it looked and it worked fine.

I finished the sketch in tilt brush, this time making a large section of strokes, then copy and pasting it many times all over(I was making a starry sky) to save time. It uploaded to poly fine, but would get an error anytime it tried to actually import through poly to something else.

I thought maybe it was just too many particles in one sketch, so I split it into two(which took a very long time since theres no way to copy to a new image...)

The half with hand placed strokes works completely fine, the copy/paste half does not - even though the hand placed sketch has many more objects and larger file.

I kept removing tons of strokes from the broken half at a time, checking it all throughout until there were hardly any left and it had a very low sketch cost. It was still broken. Even if I remove every stroke from it but still use that same file, it's broken.

Some friends corraborated this with their own sketches/polys - we only get this error when copy/paste has been used. I've confirmed this by making the exact same sketch twice, using guides and non-moving strokes, so there are the exact same amount of strokes, only one was hand placed and another was all copy pasted. The copy/paste one did not work even though the end results were exactly the same.

I tried to reproduce your issue, but no luck. I was able to upload to Poly with no "hand placed strokes", only duplicate strokes, with success.

Can you clarify what you mean here? Where exactly did the error occur? On Tilt Brush, Poly or something else? And what did the error say?

If there was a way to send us the .tilt file that was getting the errors we'd have an easier time trying to diagnose this issue.

I am able to upload them all to poly fine - it is only other programs that have poly integration they refuse to load. I am trying to use them in TheWaveVR, I've had friends try to use them in other apps(not sure what, I will try to find out) and they also didn't work.

What we get is a big yellow triangle with an exclamation point when it does load in these seperate programs.

I don't have the two identical ones any longer but here are my original ones with issues:

https://poly.google.com/view/9ui-B_hrIAC - This one will not export into poly-supporting programs. It conists of an inner sphere of smoke particles(that were copy pasted) and then an outer sphere of smoke particles(all hand placed)

https://poly.google.com/view/0xnOYqK_CWO This is the same poly with all the copy/pasted particles (painstakingly..) removed, it can be export into things fine

https://poly.google.com/view/23GvH0GesIb This is the same poly but with the hand placed particles removed, leaving only copy and pasted ones. It can not be exported.

I know it seems like maybe it's just too many particles but I went through the copy/pasted only one and reduced it to a very low sketch cost with hardly anything left and it still would not load. I've had the same issues with other polys that did not have many particles, but did have copy/pasted things. Many of my friends have had the exact same issue. We've spoken to the developers of TheWaveVR and they say it doesnt seem to be anything on their side(plus it wouldn't make sense - it seems like it has to be some kind of metadata or something being copied and pasted)

I see what you mean now. Trying to load Tilt Brush assets into The Wave using the Poly API, I do get some errors saying "model is too big". In fact, I see a bunch of Tilt Brush assets not even being able to load (thumbnail appears grayed out).

We will investigate further, thanks for bringing it to our attention.
