Tilt Brush

Tilt Brush

I have my first VR!
:D I'm super excited to try this game out :D So, how do I get Steam VR games to work? Please, this is my first VR. I wanted the Tilt Brush so badly, now I can own it & use it. But I don't know how it works so can someone kindly explain to me how I can get Tilt Brush from Steam to my phone?

~~~~~~~
UPDATE: Thanks for all who answered this post of mine & helped me realize my mistake. I own a Utopia 360 degrees Virtual reality VR that was given to me as a Christmas gift from my dad. I am sad that Tilt Brush is limited in specific VR requirement, but I can't ever change it. I'm not gonna ask my dad to return the VR just because I can't play with Tilt Brush (plus it's already synced up with my phone & unpackaged, so returning isn't even a possible option anymore). I can only hope that Tilt Brush might get an update to work with other kinds of VRs or I'll eventually have to get the specific VR it requires. But luckily, I did get a refund for Tilt Brush, thank you for the ones that let me now that Steam is fair about refunds. My VR uses a Google Play Store app called Cardboard, I think it even suggested apps that I could play with my VR. Sadly, I'm not interested in the Cardboard supported apps that were offered. But hopefully in time, Cardboard will make a Tilt Brush kinda program or something for VRs. That would be cool.
Tiltbrush and other software sold on steam are only for PC. You will need a Vive, Occulus or other supported headset as well. :(
That headset is for phones, it doesn't work remotely like a vive or oculus. Sorry man.
So it doesn't matter I got Steam on my phone then?
No, haha. Most of these vr games are for the crazy oculus rift/htc vive headsets... which range from $500 to $700 dollars for the headset. (Just ordered a vive yesterday for a total of $730.
These systems utilize the headset and also hand controllers so that you can pick stuff up and do lots of other things within the game. For Tilt brush, these controllers are needed so you can paint stuff in the vr world.
In order to play Tilt brush you need the vive or oculus headsets which are a bit expensive, but you also need a really good working computer that will cost somewhere around $1000 to work for the two headsets.
The utopia 360, which is like my gear vr headset, is way way way way underpowered for this type of game and all the rest of the vr games you will find on steam. My gear vr was $60 and it could never be able to use these steam vr games. Plus, you can't connect the types of controllers to your setup that are used for the vive/oculus. The only controller I can use for my gear vr (which uses my phone and not a computer) is the xbox elite controller ($60) and that is for playing only some games that are allowed through my gear vr program.
All the games that are listed as vr on steam are basically only for use with the oculus/vive. These two vr systems are like your utopia 360/ my samsung gear vr on lots and lots of steroids. Our phones do not have the processing power to play the games that are designed for the vive/oculus.
So yeah, it doesn't matter you got steam on your phone. The only games you are likely to be able to play with your utopia 360/phone set up is the ones that are able to be downloaded through your vr program.
You should try and get a refund for your Tilt Brush purchase.
If you didn't play it (and it seems, that you can not) you can easily get a refund from Steam - go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/history/ find checkout for a TiltBrush and ask for refund
Yeah you can definitely get a refund. Steam is really good at being fair with poeple that make a mistake. I bought a car on rocket leauge and found out that it wasn't the car I was originally intending to buy. They gave me a refund for the car even though I had played it in a couple matches. Got the refund the within the next hour and then purchased the real one I wanted.
If you provide them with an explanation of your purchase and how you made a mistake then you can get refund ez pz.
I started with a Gear VR for my Samsung S7 Edge. After seeing how amazing that was, I went for HTC Vive. Your phone VR will still be pretty awesome, especially if you have a bluetooth game controller.
And I wouldn't feel too bad about missing out on this game unless you're super artistic. It's really cool as an introduction to VR, But I in no way shape or form can make anything that looks nice, haha.
I have a Samsung galaxy x5 & my VR is a Utopia 360 degrees Virtual reality VR. My dad bought me my Utopia 360 degrees Virtual reality VR so i don't wanna be mean & never get a chance to use it. It has bluetooth earbuds & a bluetooth controller. I am very artistic, so I'm just sad that my VR couldn't would with TiltBrush. I saw a youtuber playing with Tilt Brush & he owns a bunch of VRs, so he could show off how cool it was. I was eager to try it myself, but because of specific VR requirement I could never use Tilt Brush. So yeah, it did break my heart.
I think you need to expect that anything phonebased is not going to get something like this, for a LONG TIME.... Anything phone based is literally going to have the lowest quality/interactable games... You need to honestly check the spec requirements for games if you don't want to fall in the same predicament again....
I had no clue before Tilt Brush was only for specific ass phones ok?! I know that steam won't have VR games for my VR so back off! I get it, I was dumb! But I'm not going to have my dad return a VR I already opened & used use because it wasn't made for this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game! I don't NEED Tilt Brush to live!
This is a tale of why you research, folks.
Wonder how this person gathered that Steam games could run on a phone.
...although I believe if someone on XDA is crafty enough, they can cram together an OSVR-compatible headset (and OSVR is Steam compatible) out of a Cardboard device...
