Two Hand Weapons
Hi, bought the game on sale last week. Been playing it as my only game since then. I like most of it, but there is one game breaking set of mechanics for me that ruins my immersion.

Two hand weapons.

The mechanics of this weapon as it stands make them work even better as a mobile fighter than the daggers. There seems to be very little recovery time for each swing and the weapon doesn't register any sort of recoil from a successful hit. The weapon just passes right on thru the player as if nothing was in the way.

So why is it fundametally game breaking for me? The tactics used by 2h wielders end up making the game feel like just another arcade fighter and that isn't what i'm looking for.

Like I said I've really enjoyed most of the game and it has a ton of promise. I would like to know if there were any plans to change 2h mechanics?

i agree with that, but u cannot nerf 2h too much but i do think they need a slight debuff. Being it more stamina/swing times or recovery from, but i think there should be more destinct characteristics to the 2h weapons.

when you 1v1 someone with a 2 hander and they have a shield / sword or dagger it becomes very difficult to actually land a hit without them stunning / blocking everytime

Curious what "tactics" you are speaking of. If you are referring to the players who are moving and constantly weaving in and out of people its means they are trying to take advantage of the lag, Or they can't help it and are being taken advantage of. This tactic is common right now and seems to be more of a server issue.

The damage is fine. Its the movement mechanics that bother me.

Rayo if you like the game keep leveling and hit 100. The 2 hander method some players are using can be annoying, but it can be countered. Those same players can also die very fast because of that style. Only way you will see this first hand is more time played and battles won.

i dont get what you mean by the weapons having a very little recovery time between each swing or them passing through when landing a hit. the second part happens with any weapon as far as i can recall, and the recovery time is nothing compared to daggers. not only that, but to do any type of power attack, especially with axes or hammers, it takes a lot longer to charge them.

I use 2 handers primarily. My main complaint is that with the amount of lag I'm experiencing in tournaments it is impossible to block some attacks, Like a character suddenly warps in range of me with a precharged attack. Or I can't kick anyone that is back pedaling either, making it nearly impossible to kill a shield user unless they are playing aggressively.

So I switched to a pick and shield during tourneys and immediatly noticed a huge difference in combat effectiveness (even without ANY of the shield perks). It is a much more viable option at this point in the games development.

They just slowed down combat to hide the lag, but lag is still king
