What does it mean "average market price"?

Is there AH in the game? I got a lot of trash in my inventory and I don't know, what should I do with it, sell it to vendors or try to get a better price for it.

There's a market in each capital city. You can sell it for whatever price you want but there is an average price which people will pay. If it's cheap then I'd just sell it to a vendor.
