Title means "Glory Defeat"
Did the developers really mean to call their game "glory defeat"? Is the goal of this game to lose? Its in early development....not too late to rename the game to something that makes more sense to anyone with a passing knowledge of latin.

It means "Glory to the Defeated" which doesn't mean the goal is to loose, it rather speaks of respecting your enemy / chivalry.

might help to give some insight into the history of the phrase "gloria victis" from real life :/

Also, don't forget you need to actually die in battle in order to get to Valhalla!

Silly me, I just know how to read Latin and even after explanation I am still like "really?"
From the wiki article "Despite its acclaim, the work was harshly criticized by fellow French sculptor Jean Baffier for its High Renaissance style and for its celebration of a defeat: "We have been beaten like wheat in a barn, and we shouted: 'Glory to the losers' – And along comes some sort of bastard artist, the pupil of a sexless school, to put up the image of our cowardice."[3]"
Looks like I am also not the only one "from real life" that thinks this idea is a bit of a head scratcher.
But fine, have it your way. Gloria INvictus would make more sense for any game involving fighting or conflict.....but go ahead and be avant garde about it all. Your game after all.

Honouring the dead - specifically those who fought for a rallied cause - is hardly avant garde, but rather quite traditonal. Without context, however, I agree that it might seem as such.
