Sorry to hear that you're experiencing an audio issue.
It sounds like the volume controls for the game are still working, but the game audio is being affected by another setting.
The most likely cause is that the game has been turned down in your Volume Mixer.
To fix this, please follow the steps below:
- Press the Windows key
- Search for Volume Mixer
- Choose 'Adjust System Volume'
- Locate Worms W.M.D
- Raise the slider for the game to increase the volume
If this slider was already at max, or these steps didn't help resolve the issue, please let me know.Thank you,
BenTeam17
I found a way to reproduce the issue 100% of the time.
1) Set your sound settings to anything but 100% in the game.
2) Exit.
3) When the game logo plays (the one with the tank) press escape to skip the cinematic.
That's it. Now, your Windows volume is reduced by the percentage left in the "effect" slider.
For example: You set your effect slider to 90% (all bars but one), when you press escape, your Windows slider will be reduced by 10%.
This can happen up until the Windows mixer reaches 1%.
In my opinion this is a pretty serious issue as some people will have no clue what's wrong, and will probably get very upset.
