Sorry to hear about the resolution issue you're experiencing.
So that I may assist you further, could you please confirm the following for me:
- Your system information*
- A screenshot of your issue
*Instructions on how to obtain and send your system information can be found hereWith this information, I will do my best to assist you in resolving the matter.
To answer your question, however, it is indeed possible to configure the resolution before entering the game.
If you go to the following directory -C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WormsWMD\CommonData- and edit the W: and H: values in a file called local.cfg, this should change the resolution before opening Worms W.M.D.
Thank you,
Team17_Assistance
Choose the option "Get Info" and then a popup appears. In the General tab, find the checkbox saying "Open in Low Resolution". Check it and then close the window and run the game without problems.
This worked for me
There is no "Open in Low Resolution" checkbox for me (I'm on macOs Monterey M1)
I ran through the same issue. I found a « workaround » by closing my laptop to only have my external screen before launching the game. No a perfect solution but it may help you play the game without pluging out your external screen (and it works only with a laptop)
