Apologies for the lateness in my reply.
Once you have your controllers connected to your PC. You should be able to remap the buttons to your preffered selection within the game.
1. Load Worms W.M.D
2. Select Help and Options
3. Select the Controls tab
4. Select Game pad from the drop down menu
5. Move through the list making any changes you wish.
Hopefully this helps your problem
Thank you for your continued support,

Yeah, it's as if the game thinks it's a PS4 controller and when I'd press X/Triangle/Square/Circle it just doesn't get any input. For example it thinks the PS Button is X, select is Square. Etc. Can't map it because it doesn't recognize any input when I press the buttons.
I've tested it with 4 different controllers, all official Sony controllers, with cable and bluetooth. Same results.
Cheers
Thanks for the reply.
So that I can help you further can you please respond with the following:
Do you have the latest PS3 controller drivers installed on your Mac?
Whether the 4 controllers tested are all for the PS3?
Do you have a controller mapper installed?
Once I have this information I should be able to help you further
Thanks

No I did not install any extra drivers, but I do have the latest Mac OS Sierra version. The controllers do work on a real PS3 (and other games on my Mac/PC too).
No custom mapper softwares.

I am sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with Worms W.M.D
To best assist you, I would like to request that you reply with a few more details:
When you load into WMD are the button icons the same as what is seen on a PS3 controller?
Does the issue persist after using your mouse and keyboard to change the default control scheme between Classic and Modern, exiting the game and then reloading and using your controller.
Once I have this information I should be able to help you further
Thanks
Team17_Assistance
The icons don't appear no.
Yes the issue persists even after Classic/Modern changing and restarting the game.
It's really as if it thinks my PS3 controllers are PS4s but the button mapping aren't the same on PS3 or PS4.
Thanks
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately it looks as though the PS3 controller is not shown as one of the officially supported controllers for Worms W.M.D - https://steamcommunity.com/app/327030/discussions/1/343785574511952851/
Although the PS3 controller is seen as being third party, I will try to give some more suggestions in order to resolve your issue. So that I can help you further, can you please confirm whether this issue is occurring when connecting the PS3 controller to your Mac using a USB cable. You will still need to go through the steps of setting up the Bluetooth. Instead of disconnecting the USB, try to play the game with it still attached.
Looking a bit more into this issue, there is also a number of third party apps that can be used on OSX to map each of the controller buttons. One that seems to be rated quite highly by some members is an app called Enjoyable - http://techapple.net/2016/12/how-to-configure-any-gamepad-joystick-controller-on-mac-os-x-free-app/ (Please be aware that Team17 is not liable for any adverse effects to your system when installing or running third party applications).
Hopefully a solution can be found soon.
Thanks

I'll try with the app, thanks.
By the way...could it have anything to do with it being that they are the japanese versions PS3 Controllers (Is there even such a thing as a model difference?)
I'm from Japan, maybe somehow the Japanese model are not being detected? Just a thought.
