[SOLVED for me] [WINDOWS] Crash on launch:

Disclaimer: I don't work for team 17, steam, I'm not even a game dev. Take my advice at your own risk.

I had the same issue many people here are having, where the game will crash after the copyright screen. Turns out the issue for me was a conflicting dll file named VSFilter.dll, from a program called SAF v6.3.1. Uninstalling that for me fixed the issue.

Here's how I found the issue, and how you might find yours:

1. Launch the game, let it crash and close it.
   
2. Open your start menu, and search for the app "Event Viewer" and open it.
   
3. In the left pane, open "Windows Logs" and then "Application"
   
4. Click on the first error in the list. Look in the bottom pane to see if it is for Worms W.M.D.exe. If it is, great! If not, look at the next error until you find the right one.
   
5. In the bottom pane, there was a line labeled "Faulting module path:"

If this line exists, and it is not in the game directory (eg. C:\Program Files(x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\etc.) then it most likely is the culprit.

If that is the case, you can uninstall the offending application, and you should be able to play Worms!

MaroBaro, don't delete KERNELBASE.dll! That's an important file. You delete that and it'll cause more problems.

A quick google of the lg4icd32.dll seems to point to that dll file being related to Intel HD Graphics Drivers. The person who was having an issue with app crashes updated the drivers and it fixed their problem. Maybe worth a shot?

My graphics driver is updated and the game crashing :(

step by step

1- go to settings [if windows 10]
2- go to Update and Secruity
3- Left side, look for Recovery
4- Reset this PC
5- Do the First opption
6- Keep all Personal Files

WARNING: this is ONLY if nothen else works to get WORMS W.M.D to work
This will Unintall all Programs that havent been first installed on the comp [Basicly a Factory Reset, but will outwaiting hours and hours and hours.]

You do have to reinstall any and all other programs you have had, like Steam, Teamspeak, ECT..


THIS easy fix is up to you to do. I did this so I could play this great game, and well few others arent willing to do this. But I was and I did, and bam I can play.

Mine said the same thing. Funny thing, Ig4icd32.dll doesn't exist on my system, only Ig4icd64.dll does.
