I have two questions.
1. Does this game worth it's full price?

2. Can you play online with random people any time, or it's gonna be one of those dead multiplayer games?

1. no its worth 15 cause its as featured as all their other 15 dollar titles

2. you can get matches fine right now but the game has not reached more than 1.7k concurrents as of release so who knows about longevity

What is concurrents anyway? You keep bringing that up. If it's people playing at the same time, that's very impressive for a game that just came out yesterday.

you would think so... but the new game from the myst creators has been out less than 24 hours and has peaked at 4k already. 1.6k is on par with games like videoball.

to view the number you can use either steamspy or go to community hub and theres a number for players in game.

Think about it, up to 6 people per match means that the game can have around 250 games going on at the same time!

well that number counts pc linux and mac users as one... so who knows what that breakdown is. but yeah its enough players to be able to always find a match, which is nice.

its not a bad number, its just also not a good number. we wont be able to predict longevity until we have 2 weekends of data. also i can see a sale making this game surge say, during the winter sale.

my biggest hope is t17 breaks their traditrion and give us some good post release support addressing all our concerns and then puts the game on sale following a large update and the player base surges and we all have fun and we are all happy.

at this moment there are 1.3k people online at the moment of typing this comment reflecting my momentary need to point out how many people are playing at the moment in time prior to writing this comment

I have bad feelings about the future of this game. I'm very close to buying it since they got back to this awesome 2D graphics from the ugly and useless pseudo 3D, but the price is shamelessly irrealistic (compared to Rocket Leage for example which has a HUGE player base) and this could hold back people from buying it, and then it's dead. Even when it's gonna be on sale people will lose interest and it will never have a healthy online player base. Just why the f"ck this price tag, ffs Team 17. :steamsad:

Is the online mode working fine at least? I played Revolution and the online multi was terrible, it was almost impossible to find a match even when ppl played it online.

WMD has potential, but Team17 needs to listen to us and address the numerous issues and suggested changes we have posted. As of right now I am not sure if I would recommend WMD to anyone looking for a Worms game... I'd steer them towards W:A or even Clan Wars instead. (Yes, I actually think CW is better than WMD in its current state...)
