Mech gliding

Right now im doing the training missions and i cant for the life of me figure out how to do the mech gliding.
The game tells me to jump and then keep pressing "a" or "d" to make the mech glide in the air. This doesnt do anything. Help!

On controller you simply hold up or diagonally up while in the air, either after falling or jumping. I'm guessing that would translate to W on keyboard.

Yeah you need to press both W and D to glide to right. Worked fine here.

Thanks for the help. Pressing "w" works. The game does not tell you this.

By the way, you also have to hold Enter while also holding down W and D.

you dont have to hold enter just press w s when you are on air
