Helicopter's machine gun
Currently Helicopter's machine gun destroys terrain as much as Tank's cannon shots and makes it feel like the terrain is made of paper. I think Helicopter should destroy terrain way less. The same applies to Minigun.

Moreover, Helicopter has the same problem as Minigun (had): you don't need to hit with all the bullets to reach max damage (70).

You will realistically never hit with all the bullets in a chopper, but regardless, 70 is too much. 50 would be a lot better. It's an infinite jetpack with a gun after all.

Perhaps not with all the bullets but for sure it should deal less damage when you don't even try to hit the worm for 2 seconds. Fixing that and how much it destroys terrain is more important than the max damage (to me).

I think the copter is good like it is. It's hard to get 70 damage.

At first I didn't find it overpowered, but with some practice I can dish out 60+ damage quite reliably. Much more so than with the Tank (the best-balanced vehicle by far in my opinion) and of course the Mech can only manage 50. Given how rarely players are crowded together and the fact you have to get right on top of the opponent to deal max damage, and the fact that it's maneuverability falls well short of the chopper's, the Mech seems seriously under-powered.

Anyway - the chopper would seem more reasonable with either a 50 max damage or a fixed retreat time of just two or three seconds following the use of its weapon.

The mech is balanced by the fact that it has the highest health, and the knockback is really high. In my opinion the only vehicle that is truly a problem is the chopper.

Just to be clear, I enjoy vehicles, I think they're a nice addition to the game, but not when they take the whole focus.

I have them enabled at 5% in my scheme, but I would change that to 3-4% if possible. Or, if vehicles spawned in the form of "spawners" with a delay, I would do that.

Edit: Nevermind, the mech has the second highest health.

Well, that's one more thing to do to balance them: Swap tank and mech health values.

I'd actually forgotten about the Mech's ability to really send worms flying so that does keep things more balanced than I was thinking earlier.

One of the things I enjoy doing most in the game is jumping and gliding about in the Mech like a total badass. Conversely, having jumps cancelled by minuscule fragments of land is one of the lead enjoyable aspects :steammocking:

I just played a game where a chopper spawned beside me, and it won me the game, there was nothing the other guy could do. The chopper needs a nerf asap, or let us disable specific vehicles. I have no problem with the tank, mech, or even the car.

What if the chopper had limited fuel per turn? Just throwing ideas at the wall here to see what sticks.

That was a problem with RNG spawn much more than anything else. Just as well it could have been a crate, or tanks and mechs in other situations.

What you get from crates in the ranked scheme, while it can definitely influence the outcome of the game, isn't as game changing (more like breaking here really). The mech and tank vehicles are also situational. While the mech can get to a lot of places, it can't get you across the map, deal 70 damage, and then retreat halfway across.

The chopper is most definitely imbalanced compared to the other vehicles, if you have a choice, you will always choose the chopper.

RNG needs to be completely removed anyway, no crates, and no vehicles. For non serious gamemodes, crates and vehicles are fun, but the chopper is still annoying. Either fuel or damage reduction need to happen, even both.
