It shows slow motion replays of the following weapons:
I'll be honest, I did that mostly for myself.
I just enjoy watching it to much (´∀`)
Replay files are essential because it allows you to easily share games online with a tiny file size. That has plenty of casual applications (eg. easy video making), but more importantly (in my opinion) it makes 3rd-party leagues possible.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 had replay files on release 16 years ago. And a built in level editor. Apples and oranges, but still, get with the times!
so yea, they are very well aware that people want this. but a proper replay system cant be done over night. if you want to do it right, it requires a lot of time, or else you may end up building something useless as with starcraft 2.
Oh how I miss the W:A replays with the multiple speed settings.
Those concept videos really show how much more appreciation there could be for the way the game looks and plays out when watching events in slow motion - great work Snowcone Guy!
