Ninja Rope upgrades cost more than a basic jetpack.
Why? If you can get somewhere with a ninja rope you automatically can with a jetpack.

Depends on the fuel you set in the scheme. I would prefer a Ninja Rope Pro or a Newbie Rope with 3 swings over a Jet Pack with 50 fuel every day.

But if you set 100 fuel (or even more) I'd probably choose the Jet Pack.

It's a matter of perspective, the pro rope has infinite swings and allows for the bounce to cross huge gaps like the rope in Worms Armageddon. Despite its inherent risk, to an experienced player it may be far more valuable than a jetpack.

50 is not enough, jet pack goes from god tier to trash tier. You barely have enough to go up and then you fall like a mosquito that's just been hit with a spray.
But 100 is too much I agree. I think I'll try in-between, hopefully it doesn't piss people off.

Edit: There's no in-between...

We really need to be able to input the value ourselves. 75 would probably have been good. Come on.

I agree.
For everything that has a number (From the health of the worms to the lenght of a turn, the amount of mines on the map to things like Jet Pack fuel or how many crafting seeds players start with) you should be able to enter whatever number you want.

50 is not too low, the jetpack has this unique ability that it keeps its vertical speed. You can cross the entire map just by pressing the up button.

Thanks for the discussion guys. If it's something the community feels strongly about in one way, then I can talk to the team and see if it might be a good idea to rebalance the ammount of materials needed etc. Keep up all this detailed feedback , because it's helping us improve the game

50 fuel is not enough to go from one side of a big map to the other.

@ Danny - the whole crafting system needs rebalanced. It currently doesn't make a whole lot of sense in terms of what you get for deconstructing certain items, and it also doesn't make sense in terms of how much it costs to craft certain items. It's all very imbalanced and the result is that people craft the same (game winning) stuff in every single match. Super weapons should be much harder to come by.

The best solution would be to have crafting and dismantling settings for each weapon in the scheme settings.

A button to disable it and add its weapons to a large W:A-style weapon menu would be good too.

I personally would be totally fine with crafting as long as everything was balanced in a sensible manner, and as long as we had very in-depth options. (Being able to select starting craftable weapons in our inventory, being able to decide on an item-by-item basis what CAN or CANNOT be crafted, a max # of a particular item that can be crafted, etc.) The whole weapon panel needs re-designed and enlarged to allow for more weapons. A lot more.

The balance of this game is all wrong currently. We need way more options, way more customization, way more content in terms of weapons and ESPECIALLY utilities, etc. I feel like a broken record because all I do is repeat myself, but the 'fix' to the 'WMD problem' is so easy visualize.

I've never been so bored by a new Worms game. WMD feels like a half-finished (or less) product in terms of content and features.

Why fix what wasn't broken?

Large menu all weapons in the scheme editor, everything else is a joke.

I played a few games with fuel at 50. Overall it's better than 100 because the jetpack isn't as overpowered, but it's not enough. The jetpack is now more like a glider, you cannot go over stuff and still continue, you burned everything at that point already.

65 would be the perfect value in my opinion, but we cannot use it.

I agree.
We need to get rid of so many limitations.
And I'm positive that they understood our feedback about this.
But the question remains if they decide to put the resources into actually making this happen. (Once all the bugs are fixed.)

I made a mock-up about this a while ago.
This is how it would look:

There is more than enough space on the screen to see the rest of the game just fine while it's open.
You could even add a row or two, if they should (hopefully) add more/missing weapons to the game.

I'm very positive that it is, and even if it's just barely not enough, it's still a pretty huge distance. Not to mention that you can prolong the distance even further using parachutes.

It's definitely not enough. If you have no obstacles whatsoever and you start from a non elevated position you can cross maybe half the map, but you won't even have fuel to maneuver near your target properly. We need an option between 50 and 100.
