PS4 controller
Something

So I want to play the game with my PS4 controller, but it doens't show up in the controls-option scheme ingame. I plugged the controller in before and after opening the game.

Does anybody had the same problem and fixed it? Or not and just want to relate to me? I feel alone right now and don't know my position in this world anymore..

((It says on the store page it has full controller support, so it has to support a PS4 controller was my expectation..))

agreed.
the best i can find is using steam to disguise my ds4 as an xbox controller, but then it doesnt actaully work in the game. steam says it loads the config when i launch the game, but nothing actaully does anything and there is no response from the controller.

if i use my built in support (not via steam) it detects the contoller, and i can navigate menues and move my worm, but several things dont work or dont work right. eg. the triggers appear to be moving the camera rather than zooming, and they often send the camera way off to one side or another uncontrollably. the right stick doesnt work at all either.

my controller works just find in many other games.

I am experiencing exactly the same things in Mac OS X 10.15.5

Before using steam's controller configuration/profile, I can navigate the menus and move the work with joystick but one trigger moves the camera up, the other trigger moves the camera to the side.

ive been finding with the games ive been playing recently using my ds4 with steam that in order to negate the issues i need to tell steam to stop helping and just let the built in OSX controller support do its job. i had all sorts of issues with dead cells and hollow knight, one would only recognize the controller if steam told it was an Xbox, and the other only if steam DIDNT load my profile. the only solution i could find for both was to go into the steam preferences for controller support and uncheck ALL the boxes (no xbox, no PS4, no generic, nothing). now the controller works perfectly with both games (although still no vibration but i can live with that). i do lose some customability (cant change the colors or name or shutoff time or anything), but it works and that is what matters to me.i have not tested it with worms or other games but it may well work better everywhere that has "full support." hope that helps, and if so, let us know?

EDIT: i tried it on a few other games too (but not this game yet), so far its working for everything! (knocks on wood)
EDIT 2: so it doesnt work on every game. certain games that seem to really depend on it being an xbox controller do not work with this method (which is dumb when that game claims to have "full controller support"). so far games that have not worked include: road redemption and mad max (sadly).

Thanks. The only button i currently have checked in the controller config is 'Guide button focusses steam' But while using the DualShock 4 controller, the camera controls in Worms WMD still don't work. It is as if the right joystick is disabled.
