0 hours into copy of WA
ok nice troll attempt... 3/10
I personally cant play Armageddon because it's not available for Mac users. But watching videos of the gameplay, it does seem more outdated with more controlled and tight gameplay though. I can't personally say, but not counting the random elements in WMD, it seems more difficult in WMD to calculate aim consistently with Bazooka and wind (an example). This I feel means that WMD is harder to master (and the rope I have heard is more difficult and less smooth in WMD). I dont know if that is for better or for worse but I find it can be control is difficult to achieve in WMD
Both are very strong games, and WMD had the potential to be pretty legendary with a little fine tuning
I am well aware that most WA players use pirated copies of the game rather than the Steam version but OP actually owns a legit version with 0 hours on it. If the game isn't that great, why buy it in the first place?
I own all of them and I can say without a moment of hesitation that WA is vastly superior, and that's not subjective opinion. It just simply IS better.
i have to let you know i have played armageddon at my cousins house and it is vastly superior and is a great game, but it was all part of the plandemic you see
The graphics are 'outdated' but still not bad by any means (and supports resolutions even beyond 1080p, which is amazing for a 20+ year old game), especially given the fact that pixel-based games are still wildly popular. The gameplay is so much more tight and logical. It's not that WMD is 'harder' to aim consistently in... it's that very few players in WMD are able to pull off long range shots due to:
1.) Lack of long-term experience
2.) Lack of overall player skill level / community skill level
3.) General gameplay settings that don't inculcate a need to actually get good at artillery skills (crafting, vehicles, cheesy and OP weapons, etc)
The rope isn't really more difficult, it's just worse, mechanically. So in a sense you could say it's more difficult, but not because it requires more skill, but in the sense that it is clumsier and more poorly implemented. As a diehard ninja rope disciple I can tell you that the W:A rope is not only mechanically better, but offers a much higher skill ceiling than the WMD rope due to fundamental differences in how each of them work.
To repeat myself for the 34632623th time, WMD is like Worms for newbies and casuals. Even Clan Wars has much better depth of strategy. I don't really know how to describe what it's like playing WA compared to WMD. It's like driving a high-end BMW compared to driving a Ford Focus. They will both get you to where you wanna go, but one option is more refined and offers more to serious drivers.
Skunk i needed to lure you here so i can point out how much of forum hovering madman you are
Legend has it he got perma-banned for using a rude word twice. But still occasionally drops in to see if Skunk ever figured out what 'subjective' means.
