Multiplayer With Specific Friend
For the multiplayer does this game allow you to connect to a specific person and only a specific person?

You can connect to a specific person, but not directly. You have to host a public lobby. There is no way to limit the number of players, or close your game, so you have to kick everyone and start the game before more people join.

Really? You can't even host a private game for friends only? This is worse than I thought.

Thanks for the response. That' s not what I wanted to hear, but good to know.
Uh... this is not true. You just got lied to by some random guy who doesn't even own this game.

As a tip, you generally shouldn't listen to Obn3g0n, he's a spiteful angry man and doesn't do his research before talking nonsense.

This is false, lobbies are always private upon creating them. You have to make them public first for strangers to be able to join.

Unlike Obn3dumb0 you have this game, how did you not know this?

Sorry. Most of my playtime was from ranked and idling in menus so I don't know a lot about custom games.

Thanks for the reply Unleash.
No probs. You can call me Thurbo btw - so we can spare ourselves another unnecessary comment from Obn3dumb0 ;)

Lobby's are indeed private upon creation. But there is a severe lack of host control. It is not even possible to toggle between public and private. So once you put your lobby public, you lose every control over the lobby. You can kick people if you wish, but nothing is stopping them from joining back. It's a terrible system. More host control is absolutely essential, and should be a priority.

As long as it starts private that's all that matters to my friend and me. We used to play older Worms games in hotseat but we no longer live in the same city. We'd like to play Worms together again but we really only want to play with each other.
Setting the amount of player slots would be about all it needs.

There is no point in toggling between private and public. In fact that could probably be abused to server overload and annoying people looking to join as they attempt to join a lobby that constantly gets privatized and opened, greeting them with error messages.

I agree that customizable lobby size is needed. I already requested both but I can go without closing/opening lobbies as long as there is a way to limit player count.
