Why not?
I can't honestly recall the last time a worms game allowed AI in online matches sadly, i think Armagedon let you play with/againts AI with other people online and that's about it : / . I honestly enjoyed Worms W.M.D quiet a bit, even though it does have flaws such as it not being very stable and the weapon physics are a bit odd. I just really want to have A.I. in online, so i can just co-op with my friends againts them. We did play quiet a few matches againts each other but none of us are big fans of PvP when it comes to playing with friends. The devs promised last year that we will get AI in online by December 2017 but nothing happened and they've been dead silent about the topic now for months.
You can locally, however online multiplayer doesn't currently allow for AI to be present.
As others had mentioned we had planned to have AI in online multiplayer out in 2017, however we encountered some particularly nasty bugs that kept grinding that project to a hault, sadly.
Does this mean it's still coming eventually? Is there an expected timeline when you think it will be out (knowing that projections can still slip)?
I'm in the process of looking into this. Hopefully the bugs in question weren't darksiders!
